1. It is loving, affectionate, compassionate and soothing or comforting. It’s good news Acts 13:48

2. It is confronting of self and it’s heresies- self righteousness (esteem), self indulgence, self protection and self realization or actualization (motivation) Matt. 22:43-44

3. It is often met with stiff opposition and seldomly accepted let alone applauded. It is the most misunderstood phenomenon in the world Acts 13:49-51; 14:19-20

4. It has only one centre or focus, Jesus, His cross and His resurrected life 2 Cor. 4:5; 1 Cor. 2:1-5

5. It is God’s powerful and only tool to transform sinners into saints Rom. 1:16

6. It is embraced by faith alone – “Having heard, you believed…”

7. It gives those who believe an eternal assurance.
